Our Method

For Tanzanians by Tanzanians

Our mission is to provide orphaned and vulnerable children with a safe, stable, and loving home — a place where they can learn, play, and grow into confident, responsible young adults.

How We Work

We work closely with the Social Welfare, which refers children in need to our care. These children come from challenging backgrounds — some have been abandoned or found lost, others have experienced abuse, neglect, or the loss of parents. All in urgent need of care and protection.

Step 1: Family Tracing

Our first priority is to trace and assess any known or distant family members who may be able and willing to care for the child. While this process is underway, the child stays at our Reception Home in Dar es Salaam, a safe and nurturing temporary sanctuary.

Step 2: Support to Families

For children in need of ongoing assistance, whether reunited with family or already living with relatives, we enroll them in our Relative Support Program, providing support for their education, nutrition, and overall well-being based on their specific needs.

Step 3: Children’s Village

When family reunification is not possible, the child is welcomed into our Children’s Village in Mkuranga, where they become part of a loving family unit and receive long-term care.

We remain committed to reuniting children with their families if circumstances later change.

Step 4: Path to Independence

As children grow into young adults and pursue vocational training or higher education, we support their transition to independent living.
