Christmas Appeal update
This year’s Christmas Appeal will have raised over £50,000 – very much a record! Our initial cautious target had been £30,000, but your generosity, coupled with incremental pledges from trustees, has put us into a much stronger position than we had believed possible. THANK YOU!
So we are protected in continuing to support all our children – they all wish you a very Merry Christmas. They will be looked after and educated in 2021 (and beyond) to the best of our ability.
More importantly to us, we can also continue to offer a safe place for at-risk children to live. Covid has not yet severely affected Tanzania. We don’t know what to expect in 2021, but we fear that vulnerable older guardians may get ill and could leave more and more children in desperate need. Malaika Kids stands ready to help where we can.
So thank you to all who have supported us during the appeal. Last year, we were dependent on 50 stalwart supporters donating to the appeal. This year, the number of supporters is 110 – this is very gratifying to see, as every one of you counts importantly in what has become a phenomenally successful collective effort.
With heartfelt thanks and best wishes for a safe Christmas.
