Bandages for healthtraining

Red dye, bandages and mock injuries were the order of the day at Malaika Kids Children’s Village as members of the village – and very enthusiastic volunteers – took part in a First Aid training day.

The day was run by Tindwa Medical and Health Services Dar es Salaam and was organised to give all involved at the village first aid and fire training so they would know what to do in an emergency.

This led to lots of willing volunteers in the children from the Children’s Village to pose as casualties – with lots of red dye and bandages as you can see here:

The training took place over three full days in a packed timetable to prepare volunteers for any emergency and was held at the Children’s Village in Mkuranga. It was funded by the German Army Medical Group in Tanzania and cost 1,000,000 Tanzanian Shillings. The full session was organised by resident Malaika Kids volunteer Consolata.
