Pineapple success for our self sufficiency project

At Malaika Kids we are trying to use our land to become self sufficient, growing our own food to feed the children and people who work at the children’s village.

So far our pineapples are a big success…and here some of the children help load the seedlings into the van.
Each enormous bunch costs 6,000 TSh or £2, so we still have some way to go but we are doing our best to farm the land with planting and irrigation projects.
